A Grrreat (And True!) Tzfat Anecdote

I stepped into the elevator going up from the Chatzi Kupah supermarket to Yerushalayim Street today.
I young couple, obviously very newly married and scions both from old Chassidic families got onto the elevator with me.
The husband turns to his wife and says with an American accent: "Is everybody stoned in Tzfat? Or what?"
His young bride said: "It couldn't be that an entire city is stoned. Maybe it's the altitude. You know, a lack of oxygen or something."
Unconvinced her husband replied: "They're high on *something*."
I thought I'd fall on the floor laughing.
